On the 5th of May the new Andorra bus station has been taken into use. It will be country´s main point of entry and exit of international buses. It has a capacity for ten vehicles up to 15 meters.

Andorra and Austria have started negotiations to enter an agreement for the prevention of double taxation. The negotiations will continue this year.

Andorra and Malta has signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and to prevent fiscal avoidance for income tax.

Andorra Telecom announced that from July roaming prices to the closest states will have a significant reduction.

The price of the consumption of 1 Mb data will drop 90% i.e. for 1Mb the cost will decrease from 95 to 5 cents, an SMS will drop 30% i.e. from 28 cents to 20 cents and a two minutes call will lower by 40%.

Andorra is keen to get in 2019 among the top five countries in sustainable mobility.
The goal is to reach 500 electric vehicles (6% of the fleet of the Principality) between now and 2019 and the Government is doing all to ensure that before the end of this year there will be at least seventy electric vehicles circulating in the country.
To reach the objective the government has launched an aid plan for those with an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid, the advantages are:

- Governmental grant of €8,000 and another €1,000 from the car dealer
- 2 hours of free parking in blue zone
- No vehicle ownership tax
- Free use of the Envalira tunnel
- Free registration of Personalized number plates
- Allowance to circulate on the bus lane
- Facilities to recharge the vehicles
- Free installation of a charger, to charge the car at home

From next Thursday the 10th till the 13th of March and for the third consecutive time the World Cup Kilometer Speed skiing will be back in Andorra.

The competition will take place in Grandvalira - Grau Roig ski resort on the 900m long "Riberal" ski slope with a 450m braking zone. The race starts at 2.538m of altitud and finishes at 2.338m with a total vertical drop of 200m (without adding the 10m tower starting point) and maximum degree of 74%.

This competition will be divided into two distinct competitions; the SDH (Downhill) discipline, that will be held on the 10th and 11th of March and the premier class S1 (Speed ​​One) to be held on the 12th and 13th of March.

It is estimated that with the preparation of the tower and the ski-run, the skiers will succeed in reaching speeds of approximately 200 km / h.

Andorra´s second edition of the Women´s World Cup Alpine Skiing took place on 28 and 29 February 2016 in the ski Grandvalira - Tarter ski resort was a great success,

In this competition the skiers were competing in two different modalities, the Super G and the combined Super G and Slalom. The best 100 skiers from around the world competed for the podium. On Saturday the 28th the Super G was held and on Sunday 29 the combined Super G and slalom.

Andorra played a very good role with the organization of this important event, showing that despite of the adverse weather conditions all race could take place on perfectly prepared ski runs.

Every year the number of large-scale events taking place in Andorra are growing. Andorra currently is in the spotlight for several important events that have been previously performed as the Total Fight, the FJWC 2016, Mountain Bike UCI, the Tour de France and the Speed ​​Skiing which will take place from the 10th till the 13th of March 2016.
